Custom Made Gaskets

Custom Made Gaskets

When a standard gasket does not match your equipment, dimensions or application, Queensland Gaskets can manufacture a custom gasket to suit your requirements. We produce simple circular and rectangular gaskets, detailed profiles and replacement gaskets for older or non-standard equipment.

Provide your measurements, send us an existing gasket or supply a CAD file or technical drawing. Our team can review the details and prepare a quote.

Have designs and know your gasket requirements? Get in touch to discuss so we can quote your project.

Custom Gaskets Made to
Your Specifications

The correct gasket requires more than the right external shape. Material, thickness, internal openings, bolt holes and operating conditions can all affect how the gasket performs once installed.

Queensland Gaskets manufactures custom made gaskets for equipment maintenance, repairs, fabrication, original equipment manufacturing and replacement applications.

Custom options can include:

  • Circular, rectangular and irregular profiles
  • Internal cut-outs, openings and slots
  • Bolt holes and mounting points
  • Different materials and thicknesses
  • Replacement gaskets for older equipment
  • Gaskets manufactured from drawings or digital files
  • Repeat production from an approved design

We manufacture replacement and made-to-order gaskets for machinery, pipework, pumps, flanges, electrical equipment and other industrial applications.

Three Ways to Order
a Custom Gasket

You do not need a detailed engineering drawing to request a quote. Choose the option that best matches the information or parts you have available.

Provide the Gasket Measurements

For basic circular or rectangular gaskets, provide the required dimensions, thickness, material and quantity. If you don’t know the material, advise the intended application/chemicals/substances the gasket will be exposed to.

Measurement forms can help ensure the key details are recorded clearly before manufacturing begins.

Not sure which measurements are required? Send our team a photo and a brief description of the application so we can advise what information is needed.

Send Us an Existing Gasket

When drawings are unavailable, an existing gasket can provide the profile needed to manufacture a replacement.

Send us the old gasket and our team can use planar scanning to create a digital profile based on its shape. This can be useful when replacing gaskets for older machinery, discontinued components or equipment with limited documentation.

The gasket may not need to be in perfect condition. Our team can review the sample and determine whether it contains enough detail to create a replacement profile.

Supply a CAD File or Technical Drawing

Already have the gasket design? Send us your CAD file, technical drawing or other relevant project documents.

Digital files can clearly communicate the dimensions, openings, hole positions and other design details. Include the required material, thickness and quantity where known. Our team will review the information and contact you if further details are needed.

Materials and Manufacturing Capabilities

Queensland Gaskets manufactures custom gaskets from a broad range of materials selected to suit different operating conditions and sealing requirements.

Available material groups include:

  • Rubber
  • Compressed fibre
  • High-temperature sheet materials
  • Electrical insulation materials
  • Cork
  • Foam and sponge
  • Plastic
  • Metal and steel
  • Laminated Shim (.003 Laminations) in various thicknesses
  • Semi-metallic gasket constructions

The right material depends on factors such as temperature, pressure, compression, weather exposure and contact with water, oils, fuels or chemicals. Where the material is not yet confirmed, provide the available application details so our team can discuss suitable options.

Our Brisbane facility uses several in-house manufacturing methods, including:

  • CNC knife cutting
  • Press cutting
  • Water jet cutting
  • Laser cutting
  • CNC routing

These capabilities allow us to produce simple gasket shapes and detailed profiles with bolt holes, slots, openings and internal cut-outs.

Laser etching is also available for adding part numbers, identification details and other permanent markings to suitable gasket materials.
