Queensland Gaskets provides precision CNC cutting for Sunshine Coast businesses, from our Brisbane facility in Salisbury, down the Bruce Highway. We support engineers, manufacturers, fabricators and project teams with accurate parts for prototypes, one-off jobs and ongoing production.

CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) cutting turns your electronic drawings into programmed cutting paths. The result is consistent, repeatable parts cut to your specifications, typically to a tolerance of ±0.2 mm depending on the material.

Multiple CNC Cutting Methods Under One Roof

Because we run four CNC cutting methods in-house, we can choose the one that suits your material and job, rather than fitting the job to a single machine.

  • CNC router cutting: Our Multicam router cuts and profiles engineering plastics, aluminium composite panels and foams. It handles sheets up to 2500 mm × 1500 mm × 95 mm deep, and can add steps and chamfers to engineering plastic parts.
  • CNC knife cutting: Our Atom knife cutter handles semi-rigid and rigid materials up to 20 mm thick, on sheets up to 3050 mm × 1550 mm. It’s an economical choice for gaskets, foam and rubber, with no tooling costs.
  • CNC laser cutting: Our laser works on a 1200 mm × 600 mm bed for fine detail and clean edges on suitable materials. We also offer laser etching for part marking and identification.
  • Abrasive water jet cutting: A cold cutting process for metals and thicker or heat-sensitive materials, with no heat-affected zone.

Materials We Cut

Our CNC cutting covers flexible gasket materials through to rigid sheet products, including:

  • Rubber, foam and sponge
  • Cork, felt and fibre
  • Engineering plastics
  • Aluminium composite panels
  • Metal and steel
  • Shims
  • Electrical insulation
  • Wood and timber
  • High-temperature materials

We assess each job on the material’s properties and how the part will be used, then recommend the cutting method that gives the best result. Browse our full materials range for more detail.

Common Applications

Typical CNC cutting jobs include:

  • Custom gaskets and seals for equipment maintenance
  • Prototypes and short-run parts for product development
